News and Stuff...
Exciting News... for us anyway
We are very excited to announce we are expecting our first child in July! What this means for the business however is: I wont be teaching like I thought I was going to and I will be scaling back on the business. This actually came with good timing due to some recent events over the past year. I have had a number of family illnesses that has had me out of the office and I never want my clients to have to "wait" for good service. Family is very important to me and I will always put them first - and my clients are like friends to me and I want yall to have speedy service when you need it - not when I can get to it. I will still be doing web design - but on a MUCH smaller scale and all new and current clients will have to understand that as a first time mom - I will still be figuring out how to juggle being a mom and still trying to maintain some type of business. I have some great web designer friends that I will be sending business to and I know they will take great care of all new and current clients. Thanks to all who have made Pilot Designs what it is today - I'm very blessed to be able to work from home and have such great clients.
It's not official yet, but...
I was approached with the opportunity to TEACH web design!! Something that I have wanted to do for a looooong time... so the dream may finally be a reality. Yes, I'm still going to keep my current clients & Pilot Designs... but what does that mean for the future clients? Well, I'm not sure yet. I'll let you know after my meeting with Jim from West Ga's Newnan campus on Thursday. I'm not sure what my availability will be like if this all goes down. My thoughts and hopes would be to build a huge pool of qualified web designers so that you the client can choose your designer, and get a great price. I would also like to be more of the mastermind behind the design work and let my Account Manager handle client relations. I've found that a one man show is just impossible in the web design world...
Pilot Designs in the Times-Herald
It has been a while since this page has been updated although a lot has gone on! I guess you can consider no news as a sign that we have been VERY busy here at Pilot Designs!
Today I had some clients bring to my attention that Pilot Designs had made front page news for their re-design of MainStreetNewnan.com! It is always nice to have a "surprise" article written about you!!
Check out the story for yourself! Here is a link:
COWeta County Walks for Udder Perfection
On October 24-26th I'll be participating in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day. This 60 mile - 3 Day walk will raise funds to help find a cure for breast cancer. Our team "Udder Perfection" will be out and about in Newnan & Coweta raising funds to achieve our goal of $15,000.
I appreciate your support!
Another Way to Donate - Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma
If you didn't donate to my Breast Cancer fund raising efforts and are just DYING to donate to someone - maybe you will want to donate to my friend who will be participating in a Run, Bike, Swim to help find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. I have noticed that everyone can relate to different causes... most of the folks who donated to my team knew someone who had or has breast cancer... So I like to offer different fund raising efforts for everyone's favorite charity or cause.
Michael has a $3,900 minimum for the race and it's in MAY!!
You can find his message below! He's a great friend, racing for a great cause! Thanks for tolerating all my crazy fund raising efforts! Maybe I should be a professional fund raiser hehe
From my friend Michael Swift:
On May 25th, 2008 I will be participating in a triathlon in Austin, TX with Team In Training. I am raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a participant and I'm asking you to help by making a contribution. Each donation helps accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and brings hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these diseases.
Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly and securely. You will receive a confirmation by email of your donation and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation. On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate your generosity!

Pilot Designs is proud to announce they will inherit all former clients, as well as any prospective web clients. We salute Spastic Lizard for their talents!

New Website - (Still In Progress)
Well - I started strong on the new site - but finished weak. I still have some re-arranging to do on the portfolio side. I also want to stay current on my website tips blog. Anyway - had a few comments on how the old site "didn't reflect my skill level" so I felt the urge to get SOMETHING new and refreshing up. So here it is! Let me know if you notice any bugs!
